Summary
The Systems Integration Engineer/Analyst is assigned to US Research And Development Engineering Command (RDECOM)
Aviation and Missile Research Engineering Center (AMRDEC) Software Engineering Directorate (SED) at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville,
Al. The successful candidate will provide full-time on-site support and will develop an integrated approach
Army Aviation processes in a multi-functional environment.
Job Description:
Responsible for developing system integration and test strategies, plans procedures and reports
in support of the US Army Aviation’s Military Flight Operations Quality Assurance (MFOQA) system, and other automated aviation logistics and support projects. Development is in a Microsoft
Windows environment. The Systems Integration Engineer will work closely with Systems Engineering and Software
Development in the full-scale integration of hardware, software, test, and the setup of complex networked systems.
The selected candidate will assist the systems integration lead and participate in bringing together component subsystems
into a whole, ensuring that those subsystems function together. Integrates multiple systems for inputting,
processing, interpreting, storing, and categorizing data. Assists in the development of plans for integration,
verification, and validation. Conducts and supports lab and field tests and creates routines for data analysis.
Implements verification and validation of complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications
and customer requirements. Maintaining traceability of requirements and problem reports to test documentation.
Produces and/or reviewing technical documents, specifications and standards.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical field
is required and 6 years of related experience is required. Or a Master’s degree and 2 years of related
experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required Skills: Candidate must have experience in software development
/coding cycle, using C#, preferably in the .NET environment. Candidate must have experience interfacing
software applications using .NET interfacing strategies. Must have experience conducting system integration
tests, analysis of test data, and integrating database applications. Ability to work under strict time
frames to meet both internal and external deadlines and customer expectations. Must have excellent written
and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage own work and be able to balance multiple projects.
Ability to adapt quickly to new processes.
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance. Possession of
an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required
for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to successfully complete Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal,
Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks for continued employment
- Ability to travel 10% or less.
Desired Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities:
Software
test automation/software testing tools experience is desired, data base administration is a plus. CMM
level III or higher experience preferred. Army aviation domain knowledge preferred.
