AVNIK has an immediate opening for a Mid Link-16 Pulse De-Confliction Server (LPDS) Systems Engineer to support the US Army Systems, Simulation, Software, and Integration (S3I) Link-16 Network Design Facility. Successful candidates will have a BS in an engineering discipline and at least 5 years of systems engineering or related experience.

You’ll interface with stakeholders and other interested parties to determine desired functionality and capabilities of the end product.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all systems engineering and project management aspects to develop a web-based tool used to schedule Link-16 operations within the United States and Possessions and bordering countries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing systems architecture, developing requirements, developing work and process flow diagrams, conducting peer reviews, developing schedules, generating program documentation, and managing the SW development team.
Candidate will also develop and execute tests on beta and final products to ensure compliance with requirements.
Candidate must be able to work independently, have good written and verbal communication skills, well organized, and be able to successfully manage a small team of software developers.
Applicants must have a minimum of a BS in an engineering discipline and at least 5 years in systems engineering or related experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify system engineering requirements from customer goals and objectives
Develop systems architectures
Develop work and process flow diagrams
Conduct peer reviews
Generate program documentation
Develop and execute tests on beta and final products to ensure compliance with requirements.
Experience writing and maintaining requirements
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to successfully manage a small team of software developers
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal skills and reporting practices
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Secret Security Clearance
Familiarity with DOORS
Understanding of common tactical data link (TADIL) messages and message interactions
